As Organizational Leader, the Hawthorne Effect phenomenon could be useful or not useful in some cases. Back in 2012 an Indian clothing manufacturing plant they installed a system that monitoring the workers activities and productivity, the result showed that using Hawthorne effect on the people that working on Simple Tasks is very effective and increased their productivity, but for those who are working on a complicated task it is not effective and decrease their productivity. Therefore you can use the Hawthorne effect to increase your employees’ productivity not by making them feel that you are peaking over their shoulders into their computer screens, but making them feel that you’d like to better get to know the challenges that they come across in their work because you understand that there are things that can be improved. The simple fact that you’re offering them your support and understanding can boost productivity. As well as changing the physical change. Whether you change seating arrangements, decorations on the wall, or bring in some plants, change will have a positive effect on your team’s productivity. That will give me a good analysis of the Organizational behavior (OB), where the Human resource managers can use it to improve the training programs, increasing the job satisfaction and reducing the employee turnover to maximize the output from individual group members.
